Clonmel Celtic FC is a progressive club that has come a long way in a short period of time. Within 5 years of its formation in 2003 it had constructed Dressing Rooms and an All Weather Facility and on the pitch Clonmel Celtic Youths won the Munster Youths Cup in 2004. The club has teams from Academy Level (6 to 8yrs) right up to adult. We also have a Ladies team and within the last year we are providing training and coaching sessions for girls in the Under 16, 14 and 12 age brackets.

Despite being a relatively new club having been formed in 2003 Clonmel Celtic has already made its mark both on and off the pitch on football in Tipperary.

On the field of play its greatest achievement to date has been winning the Munster Youths Cup in 2004 when they beat Waterford Bohemians 2-0 in the final at the Dr Pat O'Callaghan Sports Complex. In 2006 a Clonmel Celtic Youth team also won the Division 2 Youth and Cup double. It was during this season that youth striker Jamie Kelly scored a remarkable 46 goals, a record that is unlikely if ever to be beaten. In 2011 Clonmel Celtic Youths had a very successful season winning the treble of Division 2, Division 2 Cup and Tipperary Cup

At junior level the club picked up its first trophy in May 2009 when it won the Tipperary Cup with a memorable 2-1 win over Clonmel Town. This win made up for the disappointment of losing in the final of the same competition in 2007 when they were surprisingly beaten by first division side St Michaels B in a penalty shoot out after the game had finished scoreless. In May 2010 Celtic retained the Tipperary Cup when we defeated Rock Rovers 3-1 in Cahir. The 2006/07 has been Celtics most successful season in the league to date finishing just 3 points behind league champions on 34 points, their best league point total to date. On 16th April 2013 Clonmel Celtic had their greatest triumph to date when they won the TSDL Premier League for the first time. We have also tasted success at junior B level by claiming the Division 3 Shield and League Double in 2008.

An important part of the club is its Schoolboy Section where we have teams competing in the TSSDL (local league) at Under 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. In August 2010 the club opened an Academy for children aged between 6 and 8. The purpose of the Academy is to teach children the very basics of the game in a safe and fun environment so they will be that bit better prepared when they begin to play in organised leagues from Under 12 up. Clonmel Celtic are the only club in Clonmel to cater for females. We've a Junior Ladies teams and at Schoolgirl level we have tasted success with our Under 12 and Under 14 girls.

The club has also proved successful off the pitch. Reaping the benefits of a booming economy that provided generous grants under the Department of Arts, Sport & Tourism the club has built and developed dressing rooms and an All Weather Pitch thanks to the excellent work of its hard working committee.
