Clonmel Celtic had to settle for a point after leaving a half time two goal slip at home to Cashel this morning. Both teams were missing players but they served up a lively encounter nonetheless. Goals from Andrew Browne (pictured) and Niall Prendergast had Celtic 2-0 to the good at the break. However the visitors got themselves back into the game on 50 minutes with a neat finish from Kyle Ryan. They were level five minutes later when Padraic Ryan fired home a rebound after an initial effort was saved by Fabian Kerton. The Celtic keeper then pulled off a stunning save to deny Cashel a lead goal. Celtic probably shaded the second half and Jack Purcell was very unlucky to see his effort strike the foot of the post. Both teams pushed for a winner late on but in the end they had to settle for a share of the spoils.
