Clonmel Celtic U13s and Clonmel Celtic Ladies both had mid week games this week.
Clonmel Celtic U13s hosted Bansha Celtic in the U13 Championship Cup semi final. Bansha were strong favourites going into this game having gone through their successful league campaign unbeaten. This included two fairly convincing wins against Clonmel Celtic, 5-0 at home and 3-1 away. But the boys in green tore up the form book and emerged 2-1 winners in an exciting game. A Tommy Ryan goal had Celtic 1-0 up at the break. Ciaran Horgan added a second in the second half and although Bansha pulled one back Celtic held on for an impressive win and they will now face Moyglass Utd in the final.
On Thursday evening the Ladies had a creditable 1-1 draw away to Borris. Niamh Mackey scored for Celtic and although the performance was good the point collected means the destiny of the title is now out of Celtic's hands.
