Clonmel Celtic advanced to Round 3 of the Munster Youths Cup with a comfortable 7-0 win away to North Tipperary side Knigh Utd. Celtic started the game well and hit the front on 15 minutes when Brandon Treacy fired home from 25 yards after a good move. James O'Brien in the Celtic goal had to be quick off his line on a couple of occasions to deny Knigh a quick response. Celtic doubled their lead on 32 minutes when Cillian Fitzgerald finished off a great pass from Kyle Ryan. Midway into the second half Celtic made the game safe when Tristan O'Connor broke free and fired the ball into the roof of the net to make it 3-0. Celtic controlled the game from here scoring four more through Dylan McCormack, Tristan O'Connor and Cillian Fitzgerald completed his hat trick. Celtic were especially pleased with their first clean sheet of the season and Lewis Hackett ensured this with a brilliant last ditch tackle that denied Knigh a consolation.
