Clonmel Celtic still await their first win of the new campaign after going down to a 2-1 home defeat to Cashel Town yesterday. A goal after 30 minutes from Jack Aylward had Celtic 1-0 up at the break but Cashel rallied in the second half and two late goals from Callum Butler Buckley and Ian Healy gave them a deserved win.

Meanwhile it was a nightmare start to the new season for a youthful Clonmel Celtic Youths as they went down to a heavy defeat to Clonmel Town on Saturday afternoon.

Last week Clonmel Celtic U14s impressed in a 4-1 win against Cahir Park. Emmanuel Vargese scored two for Celtic with Thaddeus Burns and Cian Brahimi also on target for Celtic. The previous evening Clonmel Celtic U13B drew and entertaining game 3-3 with their Cahir counterparts. Arthur Semoko scored twice for Celtic with Braxon Hartley also on target.
