It was a day of SFAI National Cup action on Saturday with Clonmel Celtic U12s (pictured) progressing to Round 2 with an impressive 7-1 home win against Waterford outfit Ballinroad. Daniel Lacey hit 4 for Celtic with Ethan Mbembe, Aidan Morrissey and Charlie O'Brien also finding the net. Clonmel Celtic U14s also made it to Round 2 with a 4-1 win against Slievenamon Celtic. An Olly Hummeny goal had Celtic 1 to the good at the break and further goals in the second half from DJ Hanton, Noa Durcanski and Barrack Williams saw Celtic run out 4-1 winners.

Clonmel Celtic U17s were unable to join them as they were second best on the day to Clonmel Town going down 5-0. Earlier in the week Clonmel Celtic U16s were knocked out of the Tipperary Cup when they lost 3-1 to St Michaels. Thaddeus Burns was Celtic's scorer.
