A goal in either half saw Clonmel Celtic advance to Round 2 of the Tipperary Cup following a 2-0 win away to Cahir Park B this afternoon. Celtic got the perfect start when John O'Connor headed home a Peter O'Dowd free kick after just 3 minutes. It was a tough game for Celtic and they had Fabian Kerton (pic/file) to thank for helping them maintain their slender lead with a stunning save. Celtic made the game save in the second half with Jack Aylward getting on the end of a fine Andrew Browne pass and his fine finish made it 2-0. Chilly Hogan put in a fine performance for Celtic.
