Clonmel Celtic faced Cahir at three different levels over the weekend with mixed results.
The weekend got off to a good start with Clonmel Celtic Youths maintaining their title challenge with a 4-2 win against Cahir Park on Saturday afternoon. A second half hat trick from Jack Aylward saw Clonmel Celtic turn around a half time deficit to record an important win. The win sees Celtic reach the half way point in the league with a 100% record in tact. Finn Napier scored in the first half for Celtic who trailed 2-1 at the break.
A late Cahir goal on Sunday afternoon meant Clonmel Celtic had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Cillian Hogan had put Celtic ahead on 75 minutes but Cahir scored in injury time to grab a point.
Cahir B also left it late against Celtic B in Ferryhouse Sunday morning. Kieran Condon scored a late winner as the visitors won 2-1. Celtic B were ahead at the break courtesy of a Ross Condon goal.
